Airfields And Smaller Commercial Hangars Would Be Wise To Have Their Security Nailed Down

Air strip and plane security is a critical section of the aviation market as organisations have to deal with rising security pressures from causes such as terror campaigns, health and safety and unlawful action such as theft and wilful damage. These appear to be rising and it is vital that the management can prove that no one can gain access or interfere with a plane or helicopter at their complex. This can be a very tricky undertaking as the complexes are usually expansive, busy areas with lots of different operators needing access to a multitude of different “off limits” areas. They are also normal working environments for large numbers of employees and familiarity can be a big security problem too.

One of the problem spots are the usual hangar Doors. These are usually built from fabric or other lightweight stuff and therefore vulnerable material because of the weight issues. These doors must be able to be constructed in great widths and heights in order to house the plane and this has been the defining issue when it comes to the makeup of these doors. Lightweight fabric has been the only way that the door can be created wide enough to deal with the plane yet light enough to allow it to open, security concerns however are not solved. These specs are straightforward to bypass due to their delicate character and are a reason for worry.

Hydraulics are giving us an alternative though. They allow a much heavier material to be used in place of the fabric door, so giving the greater security given by metal, bricks and granite. Theseopenings can be made as wide as the old style roller doors and provide a much better solution in terms of not only security but athletics too. Being able to clad the new style hanger door in and products such as glass, brick, stone or wood ensures that not only does it replicate the strength of the rest of the building but it also looks brilliant as well; it is a great solution to door security issues.
