Some luxury cruises recently left UK to different destinations such as Amsterdam, France, Germany and Spain to help the stranded passengers as all the airports were closed. One of them was cruise ship Celebrity Eclipse. They cancelled the launch of their ship for April 22nd to assist the vacationers who are still waiting to come home back home from Spain because of the flights being cancelled.
Many people went abroad from the UK for Easter break with their family and friends. Few managed to come back by train or ferry but a lot of them are still abroad waiting for some help. Celebrity Eclipse cruise ship arrived in Southampton, UK on the 20th of April and then was off to Spain to pick the travellers. It then departed to Bilbao in Spain to pick over 2,000 travellers to get them home.
Cancelling its launch to help the vacationers is a great thing done by the ship dedicated to the UK. The question is why didnt they made their way home by train or ferry earlier, the answer to that is not everyone had money to spend on other transports. This great help from Celebrity Eclipse will definitely comes as a surprise but this is something that has to be done to help these vacationers get home. Most of them are missing work. Some are missing school and universities especially when the exams are near. We saw many British citizens with a smile on their faces after they heard the news. Many said they were relieved to know that they were going home and a big thank you to Celebrity Cruise staffs and management teams for helping them. Some said they will definitely go on a cruise holidays in this cruise ship one day.
Another thing is for sure that my next cruising holiday either it is silversea cruises or voyages of discovery, I will definitely be choosing Celebrity Eclipse. Celebrity cruises have also won an award of being one of the trusted surveys of consumer travel preferences in the World. This is a massive achievement from them. They have already had several awards from travel industry. They are definitely building their reputation in a positive manner.
